Gallatin, TN Senior Photography | Olivia’s Golden Hour Session
Olivia has been with me since the beginning of my photography journey. I remember being so nervous taking her and her siblings photos. It was one of my first few sessions, and to be honest, I was kind of winging it on a hope and prayer.
Just as I have grow in my photography career, she has grown as well — quite a lot. It seems like just yesterday that I photographed her as a little girl — wearing a white dress and cute bow on top of her head. Now look at her. Where does time go?
During our planning consultation, we landed on three different locations — a family farm, a small town square, and her high school. This would give us a well-rounded session and truly capture all the different sides of Olivia — her kind soul, her teenage prime, and her athletic passions.
The Family Farm
Tucked away just outside Gallatin, TN city limits— this location did not disappoint! We chased the sun to four different shooting spots, giving us a big variety of images just at this single location. We started on lower ground and strategically worked our way up the hill as the sun started setting — changing outfits and all. We truly had an hour of perfect golden light, which is nearly unheard of. And to top it off, we finished the evening with a breathtaking moonlit sky.
Olivia is always up for creative shots, which makes photographing her extra special for me. In addition to traditional styling and posing, she was excited about adding in some fun shots that I have really been wanting to expand on — motion blur and film-inspired shots. Say no more, let’s do it! Here are my favorites from the farm location.
